Ferret Box

This started out as a toolbox, grew pretensions, ran off in the direction of a Ben Nicholson, and ultimately became known as ‘the ferret box.’ It’s made from maple and both French and American walnut.  The dimensions of each slot were originally designed to take a particular tool – planes, a set of chisels, scrapers, engineers’ squares etc, with plans and sketchbooks in the tray on top.  As a design, it’s very adaptable: I’m currently making a smaller kitchen version with the dimensions modified for cutlery or spices or annoying-but-useful rubber bands and bottle-stops.

If you’d like to discuss ordering one of these, or customising a design to suit your individual situation, then please contact me.
